September Lace
I came upon this farm while on my way back from barn hunting, as my father termed the phrase years ago. It’s only about five miles from our home. But it’s far off the main route, and I hadn’t seen it before. My oh my, what a find it is! Certainly, a barn hunting trophy to hang on the wall. I love all the textures and layers, from the old barbed wire fence to the tall prairie grass and dreamy white Queen Anne’s Lace. All that lead up to the rugged and time worn barn. I can see several coats of weathered paint on the wood. Each gives lends to its romantic appeal.
I’ll be submitting this one to my portfolio at Arcangels. Wouldn’t they make a great romance novel cover? What have you discovered this week? Share your captures, stories, and projects this week in #LNRSEASONS below!

Lovely shot.
Thanks Fiona
Beatiful shot.
There’s a poem about Queen Anne’s Lace that I read a s a kid (in those World Books.) I’ve never seen it before! So thanks for enlightening me. 40 years later!
That’s incredible! It is a beauty in every season and I favorite of mine to photograph.
Really like the title for your post. Awesome barn photo…agree would make great framed photo collection addition. Queen Anne’s Lace is so pretty, but I’m never sure if what I’m seeing is Queen Anne’s. Makes lovely photos though.

Thanks Patricia, it’s one of my favorites
I love the texture of the old barn, and as for the Queen Anne’s Lace, I wish we had it growing here. Everytime I see it in someones photos, I swoon. So beautiful. I am sure this setting would fit perfectly into a romance novel. Happy travels and happy barn hunting, and thank you again for the link up. .
Awe, thank you Jill. I’ve got a weekend getaway coming up with lots of barn hunting and fall foliage. I can’t wait!
