HOME is where your story BEGINS
I’ve always loved that quote and I think it rings true for all of us including our feathered and furry friends. We recently lost our beloved Australian Shepherd of 10 years. Home doesn’t feel the same without her watching for us out the foyer’s windows and greeting us like we are celebrities each time we come home. We miss even the silliest things like the sound of her nails tap, tap on the hardwood floors. The backyard and the woods just beyond feel empty and quite. Each day it gets a little better. If you’re lucky home is a place you keep coming back to. A place where love is spoken even in the silence. A place where there is comfort and warmth no matter the season.

So sorry about your pup, Kristy. We are in the opposite season, with a new dog who indeed greets us as if we are celebrities when we return home. He’s 6 years old and was neglected, but he’s all healthy and flea-free now and had to have teeth pulled. He’s so happy and he adds cheer to every day. I hope eventually your family can add a new furry family member. {Hugs!}
