Why use Coffee in a Body Scrub?
First off, let me make it clear any coffee will work. It’s doesn’t need to be hazelnut. I just happen to love the smell of hazelnut coffee! Although, I do recommend always buying fair trade coffee. Straight up coffee grounds none the less, are all you need. Combine coffee grounds with another multipurpose beauty ingredient – coconut oil (read all about natural body butter here). Together they will hydrate and tone the skin while reducing the appearance of cellulite.
By applying coffee in a body scrub you will unleash its exfoliating capabilities removing dead skin cells to reveal smoother, softer skin. While the caffeine helps rejuvenate your skin cells without the sting of salt found in most body scrubs. Granulated sugar in the recipe exfoliates as well and helps hold the scrub together. And the coconut hydrates and moisturizes for lasting results.

How to Use a Tightening DIY Coffee Body Scrub
Apply the body scrub in the shower first, before you lather up with soap. Apply to the skin by rubbing approximately 1 to 2 teaspoons of coffee body scrub into areas you wish to smooth and tighten. Follow up with a lather of soap or just rinse off. Fair warning, the oil in the scrub could leave your shower floor slippery. Use this exfoliating scrub on your skin in the morning and for an extra boost of energy!
