Summer Chillin’ with Refreshing Cucumber Mint Body Scrub

When summer heats up, I look for ways to cool down. Cool drinks from my herb garden, like strawberry basil-infused water and lavender lemonade, are one of my favorite ways to cool off. My sister’s recipe for a cucumber chiller, published in our book series Bittersweet Walnut Grove, inspired today’s refreshing cucumber mint body scrub.

We can drink a whole pitcher of it while cooking all day! It’s a good thing we grow a lot of cucumber around here… Fresh cucumber is known to replenish and soothe the skin. That’s why cucumber slices are placed over the eyes at a spa. It’s no wonder, with all the antioxidants packed inside.

Thanks Jodi, their going to love watching the scrub turn to green when combing the cucumber with coconut! Being a naturalist, I avoid chemical food coloring. So, it’s always a surprise to add color to scrubs naturally.

I think I blended it too much. It’s completely smooth, feels more like a lotion than
    a scrub.

    1. lifenreflection says:

That can happen; all you need to do is add a little more sugar to your mixture.

  2. Can you make this without the eucalyptus?

    1. lifenreflection says:

Lori, absolutely, I love eucalyptus – what a great idea!
