Make DIY Green Tea Body Butter

DIY Green Tea Body Butter Ingredients:

1 cup of coconut oil

4 tablespoons green tea, loose leaf

How to Make a DIY Green Tea Body Butter:

For the recipe, we begin with a simple hot oil infusion method. It takes about 1 hour but the result is worth it. Plus, you can just set it to simmer on low and let it infuse.

Using a double broiler add few inches of water to the bottom saucepan and bring it to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and 1 cup of coconut oil and 4 tablespoons of loose leaf green tea to the top saucepan. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add more water to the bottom saucepan if it evaporates.

Be cautious, not to overheat the oil as it will destroy the benefits of the oil. After simmering for 1 hour, let cool.

Then using a fine cheesecloth or paper towel strain oil over a jar. Place the jar the fridge to cool until almost solid. Remove the fridge and whip using a hand mixer for 3 to 5 minutes.

(Note: If you’d like to add essential oils for fragrance, do so before whipping.) Last, store your DIY green tea body butter in an airtight container.
