Sweet But Powerful Cinnamon Sugar And Honey Body Scrub DIY
This cinnamon honey body scrub DIY is packed with sugar and honey body scrub benefits to smooth and nourish the skin like you’ve never felt before!
I’ve been hooked on sugar scrubs since the first scrub I made several years ago with lavender and coconut oil to soften my feet. Lip scrubs, face scrubs, scalp scrubs, hand scrubs, you name it – I have scrubs for everything!
And why not make them with your favorite seasonal ingredients? Like my lemon lavender sugar scrub, that’s all things spring; this DIY body scrub has an amber-like scent of warm spiced cinnamon and rich honey fitting for the fall and winter seasons.
It’s really the perfect body scrub recipe to warm up and restore your skin. The cold seasons of the year are often guilty of depriving our skin of moisture. Leaving most of us to deal with dry skin issues. The natural sugar grains combined with cinnamon, coconut oil, and honey deliver glow-boosting, soft skin like you’ve never felt before!
And every ingredient is food grade, so you can rest assured that there are no hidden surprises to irritate your skin. That’s what I love about making my own beauty remedies; I always know the ingredient list.
So, get ready to exfoliate and deeply moisturize to reveal softer, radiant skin with this all-natural cinnamon honey body scrub DIY!

What does a body scrub do?
Body scrubs are designed for exfoliation to remove buildup, brighten, and polish the skin, in addition to moisturizing and preventing dryness. But, it all comes down to the ingredients to produce body scrub benefits that effectively leave your skin smoother and ultimately radiant.
Sugar
Natural raw cane sugar is just the thing to scrub away dead skin. It’s an excellent natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). Commonly included in skin care products, AHA’s gently penetrate the skin and break down the bonds of dead skin cells, coupled with the ability to encourage cell turnover to reveal a new layer of skin.
Coconut Oil
You can’t make a good scrub without a moisturizing ingredient, and cold-pressed virgin coconut oil is one of the best to hydrate the skin deeply! Surprisingly, it also can reduce bacteria on the skin and boost tissue repair with its unique nutrients, including fatty acids that our skin loves.
Cinnamon
Did you know ground cinnamon can soften and soothe dry skin? This pantry staple can gently exfoliate and boost circulation to get the blood moving beneath the skin to plump it up, reducing the appearance of fine lines.
Honey
This body scrub recipe includes raw honey straight from the hive and honey powder, a new ingredient I’ve been working with, to harness all the honey body scrub benefits I can.
As a natural humectant, it draws in moisture to the skin, while enzymes work to clear pores and clarify the skin with antibacterial properties. And the antioxidants found in honey can decrease the appearance of wrinkles and scars by encouraging tissue regeneration, as well as brightening the skin.
These ingredients may be sweet enough for baking, but this cinnamon sugar and honey body scrub benefits the skin in so many ways! It’s tough on dry skin and quite transformative, leaving you with a hydrated golden glow.

How To Apply A Body Scrub
With your DIY body scrub in hand, you can massage it into the skin to exfoliate, smooth, and ultimately nourish the skin with ease. And you can apply a body scrub in the bathtub or shower.
Do I use a body scrub before or after soap?
Body scrubs should be applied to clean skin, and it is best to cleanse with soap first and then apply the body scrub to damp skin. However, you can apply it to clean dry skin for intense exfoliation if you’re up for it.
Use it in the shower or bathtub by scooping a small amount into your hand. Then gently massage it in circular motions into the skin, focusing more on dry areas. Let it sit for a minute or two while you work on other areas for maximum hydration. Then rinse with warm water and pat dry to avoid rubbing off the nourishing oils.
How often can I use a body scrub?
Exfoliation is an important step that should be included in your skincare routine. Depending on your skin type, once a week may suffice, or two to three times a week may be ideal.

Hi!! This looks like the perfect gift for me to make for several people at Christmas!! Is there a certain amount of time people would need to use this by?
I have made this for gifts, too! As always I recommend using homemade bath products up in 3 months. Some will last six months or more, but all will last 3 months.
