Follow my coffee lip balm recipe to learn how to make coffee lip balm with nourishing ingredients for lush lips with a kiss of java.
Are you a regular coffee aficionado? There’s a place in my heart for all: cold brews, frappuccinos, macchiatos, espressos, and lattes.
Is there anything else that puts a pep in your step like the way coffee does? The rich, roasted aroma and unique bittersweet flavor alerts my brain that it’s time to “perk up” and get productive.
But we can’t have coffee around the clock. If I have just a sip after 4:00, I’m up past midnight! So, that is why I enjoy coffee’s mood-boosting, stimulating effect in other ways.
One of my favorites is lighting homemade crackling coffee bean candles. And I have been known to call myself the bathtime barista with a splash of milk and coffee in the bathtub with DIY bath bombs and coffee soap too!
What’s even better? I learned how to make coffee lip balm with the taste and scent of freshly-brewed coffee. So, all of us coffee aficionados can treat our lips to the cozy, familiar flavor of our favorite beverage!

How Do You Make Coffee Lip Balm?
Making this coffee lip balm recipe couldn’t be easier! You’ll have eight delicious lip balm tubes with a just brewed taste in little time. That’s plenty of lip balm to stash in all your favorite places.
Coffee Lip Balm Ingredients:
4 teaspoons beeswax pastilles
1 tablespoon unrefined coconut oil
2 teaspoons shea butter
15 to 20 drops coffee essential oil
Coffee Lip Balm Recipe:
Cover your work area, remove the lid from each lip balm tube, and twist them down to create the largest opening. Next, measure four teaspoons of beeswax pastilles and pour them into a glass measuring cup.
Add 2 teaspoons of shea butter to the beeswax and melt on two 30-second intervals, stirring in between. (If you don’t have a microwave, you can melt the ingredients on low heat in a double boiler.)
Once melted, remove from the microwave and add one tablespoon of unrefined coconut oil. Stir it into the lip balm mixture and add 15 to 20 drops of coffee essential oil.
Then carefully pour the lip balm mixture into each lip balm tube. (A lip balm tray can come in handy.) Allow the lip balm to cool for approximately 30 minutes before removing each from the tray and covering each tube with a lid. I find it’s best to let the lip balm harden for 24 hours before use.
